SPOTLIGHT ON CULTURE AT TOURISME MONTRÉAL

 For 20 years, Tourisme Montréal has been working to integrate the cultural milieu into tourism.Montréal's cultural vitality and the efforts undertaken in its cultural sector in recent years have made the city one of the ten largest cultural metropolises in North America.

Promoting arts and culture as the city's main strength is the goal of our cultural tourism action plan, supported by the Agreement on the Cultural Development of Montréal (Tourisme Montréal, City of Montréal, and Ministère de la Culture et des Communications).

Aside from this agreement, Tourisme Montréal has contributed to Montréal's cultural buzz for several years and continues to integrate cultural tourism into the core of its concerns through the implementation of event assistance programs and the creation of advisory committees on culture, events, gastronomy, and religious tourism.

We are convinced that culture is at the core of Montréal's DNA and that Montréal’s status as a cultural metropolis allows it to stand out among competing destinations!
